Campaigns We Love

Building Schools for Underprivileged Children

Summary
The Imam Ahmad Bin Hambal Islamic Center is committed to provide free, high-quality education to underprivileged children across the country. Our efforts focus on restoring the lives of children from vulnerable backgrounds through accessible schooling. We aim to educate children facing severe challenges such as child labor, extreme poverty, homelessness, disabilities, and the consequences of natural disasters. The program offers foundational education, starting from primary (ages 3-5) to secondary education (ages 5-15), giving these children a pathway to a brighter future.

The Challenge
Children in rural and impoverished areas of Nepal often grow up with minimal opportunities. Poverty, lack of educational resources, and economic pressures force many to abandon their education and work in low-paying jobs. Natural disasters further exacerbate the instability of families already struggling to survive. Quality education is out of reach for many due to high costs, with nearly half the children in rural areas not attending school. Literacy levels are alarmingly low, around 33%, perpetuating a cycle of poverty and hardship.

Our Solution
The Center provides a comprehensive solution to tackle these issues. We offer free schooling to underprivileged children, covering all essential needs such as books, uniforms, and supplies. By employing qualified and dedicated teachers, we ensure a nurturing environment where children can thrive academically and personally. Our holistic approach includes emotional, physical, and intellectual development. Furthermore, we offer pathways for students to continue into higher education and vocational training, helping them unlock professional opportunities that were once beyond their reach.

Long-Term Impact
This project will not only transform the lives of individual children but also their families and communities. By empowering children—especially girls—with education, we aim to improve overall health, economic stability, and social well-being. Educated children grow into responsible adults who contribute to their families’ financial security and help uplift their communities. Our long-term vision includes creating a generation of empowered youth capable of breaking the cycle of poverty and building a prosperous future for themselves and their communities.
